Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer working on our key mobile initiatives, you will interact with our senior executives and across the various teams to define, develop and refine our software platform for reaching mobile customers. You'll work in an environment where we truly value, expect and reward peer-to-peer collaboration and you will be positioned to make a significant impact on how our mobile strategy unfolds and develops.

Job Responsibilities

- This individual will be tasked with decomposing complex software engineering projects and stories into individual tasks

- This individual will be tasked with designing and implementing algorithms to process and display customer data

- This person will be optimizing their code to run in a high-performance real time environment that generates billions of events a day

- This individual will be tasked with building SDKs for major mobile platforms

- This person will deal with scaling to meet the demands of a data-hungry internet

- This individual will be tasked with creating and maintaining unit tests

- Those hired will be supporting the software they write and deploy in our production environment.

Job Experience

- It's a bonus if you have a M.S. or higher in Computer Science

- 5 plus years of industry experience, heavily weighted towards C and C++

- A published, successful history of mobile application delivery or experience delivering a mobile SDK for use by other mobile developers is very attractive

- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable systems processing large amounts of data

- Familiarity with Amazon's EC2 and S3 product offerings or similar type technologies

Required Experience

- 3 plus years in C or C++

- 3 plus years developing and operating software in a Linux environment (incl. working with Perl, Python, bash, or any scripting language)

- Proven experience writing iOS applications in Objective-C in a personal or professional capacity

- This individual must be competent in web service technologies/ideologies

- Some exposure to Scrum/Agile methodologies

- Strong communication skills are key: able to clearly articulate, defend and document design decisions and work with a distributed team

- Passion is key we are looking for those with a real interest and aptitude for understanding the business models that drive the company

Required Education

B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is a must
