JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead in defining the design and development strategy for the Data Center Automation products. You'll work with the Data Center Engineers to gather automation requirements, write detailed design documents, suggest best technologies to use in Data Center Automation and guide other team members to resolve technical issues. Be innovative with the Data Center Automation tools and products. You should have expert-level competency in using Java, Perl and Web frameworks.
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Agile Development Best Practices
- SOA Framework Best Practices
- Security experience (including experience working in highly secure enterprise database environments, NIST)
- Experience with storage-specific technologies (HDS ShadowImage, TrueCopy, TimeFinder and SRDF)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, conducive to team development
- Advanced degree
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of overall experience
- 5+ years of lead level experience in building network/server/storage automation tools used in large-scale systems management
- Knowledge of Network Management best practices
- Knowledge of Systems Management best practices
- Knowledge of the full SDLC (Systems Development Lifestyle)
- Candidate MUST have extensive experience working within structured change management processes for highly available enterprise database systems
- Experience with Enterprise monitoring and management frameworks (i.e. EMC Smarts, HP OpenView, Micromuse NetCool, etc.)
- Networking Experience - TCP/IP, Database Connectivity (JDBC, ODBC, etc.) in Java to Database connectivity environments required
- Experience with Java, Perl, Ruby, PHP, C and similar languages.
- Experience working on web gui applications using Java, JSP, Struts, Hibernate, Ajax, Javascript, CSS etc
REQUIRED EDUCATION
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent employment experience.
