Job Summary:

Web Quality Assurance Analyst evaluates and tests new and modified software programs to ensure programs functions according to user requirements. Web QA analyst needs to analyze, identify problems in the applications, troubleshoot and communicates details to stakeholders and development teams. Utilizes risk based test approaches to develop, prioritize test plans and test cases. Actively participates as part of a sprint teams to assist in maturing user stories and requirements. Creates test data and helps manage the test environment to ensure proper system configuration and accurate test results. Leverages tools and test automation in order to improve test consistency, test coverage and test velocity.

 

Essential Functions:

• Work with sprint team to determine test coverage

• Participate in test plan reviews and test requirement workshops.

• Participate in functional specification and design reviews.

• Work with external vendors to develop integration test plans

• Develop and executing test plans and test cases

• Interact closely with development teams to identify, isolate, and fix software defects.

• Perform peer test case reviews

• Help manage test environment and test data ensuring support of test efforts

• Coordinate project test efforts across multiple internal test teams and 3rd parties

• Communicate test status to project teams and management including blocking issues, risks and changes that may affect the project deliverables and project schedules

• Support automation efforts by automating test cases and working with existing automation team to add cases to the suite

• Contribute and adhere to department process improvements initiatives

• Maintain and contribute to existing regression suite

• Support production deployment by ensuring proper handoff of deliverables to implementation teams and by executing post production tests

 

Experience & Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience testing client server applications

• Experience testing nTier e-commerce website solutions

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Familiarity testing .net, SQL, WSDL’s, XML, SAML, SOAP

• Prior experience with web automation and proficiency in OOP language (C#/ Java/C++)

• Ability to work independently to meet commitments

• Ability to read and write SQL queries

• Experience working in the Financial Services industry and familiar with Agile-scrum methodology preferred

• Experience using SOAP-UI, SOAPclient, WebInject, SOAPtest, or other XML based web service testing tool(s) a plus
