Job Description
We are seeking individuals that are interested in developing advanced network services. We use agile development methodologies, and our service is built primarily on open source software and languages including Linux and Python. Expertise with these technologies along with relational databases and scale-out architectures is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Implementation and Architecture of our web-based 24x7 cloud computing service
- Close collaboration with a talented team of engineers and architects
- Meet scalability, availability, security, and performance goals
- Design and develop major features in collaboration with product management
- Resolve major customer technical issues
- Excellent communication with management and customers
- Responsible for researching and experimenting with key technologies, architectures, and standards
Job Experience
- Computer Science (or equivalent) preferred
- 6+ years experience designing and implementing production grade software and systems
- Strong knowledge of concurrency control, data structures, algorithms, and scalable architecture
- Excellent understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, and scale-out software systems
- Strong experience with basic networking protocols - Ethernet, VLANS, IP routing, TCP/IP
- Excellent skills in analyzing, measuring, and optimizing scalability and performance
- Experience with network services - DNS, DHCP, Samba, NFS, Active Directory preferred
- Expertise with Linux routing, iptables, and device drivers preferred
- Working knowledge of database systems, transaction management, and object relational mapping concept preferred
Required Education
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
